Iran’s response to Israel may not be repeating past operation: IRGC
TEHRAN – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has signaled that Iran’s retaliation against Israel may take a different form from previous actions.
Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, the spokesman for the IRGC, emphasized that the Zionist regime has already acknowledged its failure, a sentiment echoed by American politicians who recognize that none of their harmful objectives have been met.
Brigadier General Naeini noted that the Iranian people are well aware of the strategic thinking within their Armed Forces.
He highlighted that military commanders meticulously assess all scenarios at the highest levels of decision-making. These evaluations lead to precise and calculated actions, effectively disrupting the enemy’s strategies.
“Time is on our side, and the waiting period for our response to the criminal Zionist regime may extend longer than expected,” Brigadier General Naeini stated.
He stressed that the current state of uncertainty in Israel is intentional, as Iran’s response will be carefully timed and different from past operations.
The IRGC spokesman further explained that Iranian military leaders are experienced and tactically adept, avoiding impulsive actions. Instead, they focus on well-planned strategies that ensure maximum impact.
“No attack on Iran’s interests has gone unanswered,” Naeini added, underscoring that any retaliation will be executed with precision and at a time that benefits Iran the most.
Haniyeh, who was in Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iran's newly-elected President Masoud Pezeshkian, was martyred in an attack early on July 31. Iran holds Israel responsible for the assassination.
Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has warned the Israeli regime of a "harsh response" for Haniyeh's assassination, calling it the Islamic Republic's duty to avenge the Palestinian Resistance leader's blood.
